Safeguarding & Welfare Policy
Wykeham Squash Club is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for all members and visitors.
As the club develops its junior and wider community programme, the following minimum safeguarding principles will apply.
Safeguarding Principles
- The welfare of children and vulnerable adults is paramount.
- All members should be treated with respect and dignity.
- The club promotes an inclusive and welcoming environment for players of all ages, standards, backgrounds, and genders.
- Any concerns relating to safeguarding, welfare, bullying, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour should be reported promptly to the club committee.
Photography & Social Media
- Images or videos of juniors will only be used with appropriate parent/guardian consent.
- The club will avoid publishing unnecessary personal information relating to juniors.
- Social media and communications should remain respectful and club-appropriate at all times.
Coaching & Junior Activity
- Any future junior coaching sessions or organised junior activity will be supervised appropriately.
- Coaches working with juniors should hold appropriate safeguarding awareness and DBS certification where required.
Codes of Conduct
Members, visitors, and volunteers are expected to:
- behave respectfully towards others
- support an inclusive club atmosphere
- avoid abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour
- follow venue rules and club guidance
